Bob Bell is a former business and real-estate lawyer, a husband, and father of two. He has lived in Ottawa his whole life, and is now residing in Orléans East-Cumberland, where he has become a strong community advocate who wants to use his knowledge and skills to the communities advantage.
In his time as a lawyer, he helped small businesses fight back against corporate landlords, helped first time home buyers get their first homes, and negotiated on behalf of community members and small businesses alike. Before moving to Ward 1, Bob was a member of the Riverview Community Association, where he advocated for a public transitway in the Alta Vista Transit Corridor, alongside the membership.
Bob is ready to take community voices right back to City Hall, fight for fair transit and higher quality of life, and an Orléans East-Cumberland that can thrive. He’s promised to never take developer dollars and to be transparent in City Hall, his work, and voting habits.

Why am I running?
I love Ottawa. I grew up here. I’m excited to be raising my kids here. I want my kids to love this city just as much as I do, but City Council is making it a challenge. Our transit system doesn’t work. Our infrastructure is crumbling. We have reached a moment that will define the future of our city, a moment where standing still is not an option. This is a time to rethink, challenge the status quo and rebuild our city with intention. That means we need councillors who will lead with clarity, advocate for what matters, and guide our community through this transformation with purpose and integrity. I believe I can be that councillor for Ward 1, and that is why I am running for city council.
