Orléans East-Cumberland deserves reliable and affordable transit to help put an end to the congestion crisis. Transit means more than convenience for bus riders – it means a community that is connected, access to markets and community hubs, and turns Orléans into an attractive destination for residents across the city while boosting tourist accessibility.

I want to bring a breath of fresh air and connect our beautiful community in a meaningful way.

This will be done by:

1. Increasing the sizes of our bus fleets and restoring crucial funds that were cut.

2. Freeze the bus fare at $2.00 a ride, making transit affordable for everyone.

3. Remove all fares for youth 18 and under.

4. Support the Cumberland Community Association’s plan to bring more public transportation into our community.

We need to prioritize housing that makes sense in 2026 by building more affordable housing and rental units for growing families that are grounded in our neighbourhoods. Everyone from newly graduated University students to growing families and seniors should be able to find affordable places to stay.

As your City Councillor, I will:

1. Grow Orléans East-Cumberland with intention, making homes and rentals affordable, all while building out the infrastructure we need to grow responsibly.

2. Protect our urban boundaries and ensure buildings fit our communities identity.

3. Ensuring population growth doesn’t mean losing our beautiful green spaces.

4. Prioritize development in transit hubs.

Countless Ottawa-renowned and long lasting businesses found their start here in Orléans – it’s time that City Council supports and uplifts them in a real, concrete way.

As your City Councillor, I will work with small businesses to

1. Create a permanent market space in Orléans. Small businesses all deserve a hub located centrally in our community to call home, rent on a consistent basis, and for members of our community to be able to access and find easily.

2. Make sure small businesses aren’t left behind by pursuing measures that will protect spaces and ensure mix-used developments are established under certain conditions in areas like St-Joseph Boulevard.

3. Make St-Joseph a destination in the city by increasing access to public transit and improved walkability.

Let’s create a space for small businesses to grow and thrive.

When big decisions are made at City Council, we’re often left scratching our heads as to why our councillor voted the way they did, or how our councillors voted in the first place.

As your City Councillor I will:

1. Refuse and refund any campaign donations from individuals connected to the development industry, because city councillors work for you, not developers.

2. Release my donor list before you vote (with the consent of donors).

3. Develop a Council Vote Tracker to make sure information is open and accessible to people.

4. Hold regular bi-annual town-hall meetings, allowing for community members to have meaningful 1 on 1’s with me and my team, as well as public consultations before making decisions that impact our community.

5. Publish my reasoning behind any highly contested council vote.

City Councillors are supposed to work for their community, but developer dollars corrupt our politicians.

I promise to:

1. Refuse and refund any campaign donations from individuals connected to the development industry.

2. Once elected, refuse freebies or hand-outs from insider lobbyists

Our identity is more than our heritage sites, buildings, and nature – our culture and community is equally as important. Canada is a bilingual country, and our City Councillors need to be able to communicate in French, as well as ensure that representation from various community members are at the table.

During my campaign and once elected, I will:

1. Commit to immersing myself into the Franco-Ontarien community and continuing to dedicate myself to fluency in both official languages.

2. Hold public and private consultations with diverse communities and cultural representatives such as MIFO with the goal of ensuring that all community members have a voice at the table and a say in City Hall.

3. Protect and maintain our crucial green areas that make our community so unique and beautiful. - Let’s ensure swimming in Petrie Island and summer walks in Bilberry Creek can be enjoyed for generations to come.

Our roads have become unsafe. Cyclists and car-drivers worry about getting home safely. Our roads must be safe for everyone.

Once elected, I promise to:

1. Proactively maintain and renew our roads by regularly filling pot-holes and prioritizing re-servicing in our neighbourhood.

2. Make sure we build roads that are accessible to cars, bikes, pedestrians, and our public transportation.

3. Put an end to chronic understaffing and bring desperately needed services to our community.

4. Ensure Cumberland has access to vital city services that they pay taxes for.
